With Community Membership you have access to all Monument support groups, which are hour-long virtual video sessions on topics related to changing your relationship with alcohol, moderated by experienced therapists. Whether you’re looking to hear from your peers, share and process thoughts and emotions, self-reflect, or practice accountability, Monument support groups can provide a safe space to do so. You can join with your camera on or off, and will never be called on to share.
Here’s how the hour support groups are structured:
- Therapist Introduction (5min): The moderating therapist will introduce themselves, their role, and the purpose of the group.
- Optional community introductions (5-10min): Group members will introduce themselves if they want to, and share if there are any specific topics they would like to discuss.
- Group discussion (30-40min): The moderator will facilitate an open discussion on the support group topic. You will never be called on to share.
- Closing (5min): The moderator will close out the group with final thoughts and any next steps.
